One day my mom and I were walking back from breakfast, when I looked behind me and saw her reach out and touch a tree. It was simultaneously the sweetest and strangest thing I’ve ever seen. It inspired me to make this.

I really wanted to capture a hand-drawn and painted look for this film. I experimented with paint, oil pastels, and digital tools to find the perfect mix of materials and technique to bring this film to life.
