Emilie Hahn is an artist and stop motion animator based in Los Angeles. She makes handcrafted films about everyday life.
She studied film and animation at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and graphic design at ArtCenter College of Design. Early in her career she worked in the puppet and art departments on Tim Burton's Frankenweenie and as a puppet fabricator on Robot Chicken, experiences that shaped her commitment to physical, material-based filmmaking.
She has created animations for a range of clients, including independent short films, musicians, and brands in the tech, food, and beauty industries. Her work has been recognized by Communication Arts, AIGA, Madewell’s Hometown Heroes, and HOW International Design Awards.
